We are running out of Eastlake on the Chagrin river. The walleye have been hot 28-30" class. The migrating school is between Rocky river and Fairport. They are picking up eyes in Ny already, I hope the temps stay down and we can keep these fish here for a while but a week of hot weather will change that. Now is the time! Also the perch are tremendous in 30' from 72nd st to the grand.

A lot of people are missing out, most are hunting now, but we are pulling an average of 11-12"+ perch right now and the people that are night fishing are doing real well with this nice weather especially. The walleye are really scattered at this time and the perch bite has been slow since last weeks storms. Yesterday we ventured out to 72-74 feet (7 miles out) and had a much better bite from the perch. The smaller fish were on the bottom two feet and at 56-58 feet down (20+ feet off the bottom!) we pulled some really huge perch. Cut bait, salted minnows, goldies etc... didn't matter what we used. The perch are doing really well in Ashtabula from 34 to 46'.
Huge Eyes are being taken from the 06 on out 18 miles.
The 20 footer is ready to go for 2-3 man Perch trips out of the Chagrin, The Mako will be in Ashtabula for a while it looks like. Any interest for Laborday weekend should be addressed soon because it will fill up.

With all the requests to go and for the nice size fish that are East right now, the boat is moved to Ashtabula, plenty of walleye, steelhead and real nice perch are being caught from Ashtabula to Conneaut. This will be a great season with the move a month earlier this year. The Mako is docked at Brockways North Coast marina and campground. Eyes are being taken from the 00 to the 04 line. Sat the 5th, anchored 1 time and limited on some really nice perch in 46' with 3 adults and two young men ages 9 and 11 brought in a 4# channel cat on a perch rod, and even netted it themselves, a couple of real troopers for sure. They baited their own, unhooked their own, and were really on top of things. What a pleasure and great day. Limited out at 150 perch by around 1:00.

We are running out of Eastlake at this time. Hopefully the cool weather will hold and keep the fish here for a while.
Walleyes are great from 56 to 65 fow. A few Steelhead have been caught.
The perch bite is in close, 17 to 21 fow. The best perch bite has been 6-8 pm. The walleye have them pushed in close and the perch are being caught from the walls at E55th st. so well that you cannot even get in the parking lot to bank fish.
