Description:

This beautiful sheet of water, of about a mile in length and half a mile in breadth, lies in the town of Killingly, Ct. Alexander Lake is a deep, sand-bottom lake with uncommonly clear water. It is heavily developed, with small residences all around the lake. Few lawns extend to the edge of the lake, however, as trees and shrubs have been left as a buffer between the homes and the water. There is no public access to the lake, although small boats can use a private right-of-way on the southeast shore. Only small (12 cubic inch) motors are allowed. Average depth of the lake is 25 feet, and the maximum is 51 feet. Alexander's Lake in Killingly is a renowned trout producer and easily accessible.
