The last couple of days have been great perch fishing!
Despite the Norhteast wind yesterday fishing was as fast as you could get it down and back up.
Of the charters that fished Tuesday most were back to the dock in a few hours with limit catches. Most of us charter boats fished just inside Ohio out front of the Raisin River in about 22 to 24 feet of water. I believe the cooler temps turned the yellow perch on and the white perch off. The guy's who fished in and around "E" buoy caught less yellow perch and more white perch. "W" buoy is loaded with white perch and drum, out front of Bolles Harbor is the same. We couldn't find any emerald shiners in the area bait shops. Most bait shops had sand shiners, but the perch didn't seem to care.
Remember your in Ohio and the limit is 30 per person. A word of caution the ODNR will stop and count your fish - fines start at $20.00 per perch over!!!
