Upper Prongs -Little Pigeon- The streams are finally getting back to normal with the recent rain fall, and the Trout fishing has been good for numbers and size of Trout in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. We are mailny using drie flies-Knat & Mosquito Patterns, spinners, artificial trout baits and live bait depending on daily conditions.
Note: In the Gatlinburg areas from Dec 1st to March 31st. The use of live bait or artificial lures with more than one single hook is prohibited. It is also catch & release only during this time period. However; if you prefer to catch and release. It can be a great time to catch some numbers and nice size trout as well.
Little Pigeon – Lower West and Middle Prong - This past week the fishing has been fair for numbers, as well as size for Smallmouth in the Middle & West Prong of the Little Pigeon. Try fishing with jerkbaits, flukes and smaller tubes or crawfish type plastics. And don`t forget to try a topwater for some fast action when the conditions are right.
