Squamish River Fishing Report 04.16.12

This is Brian from Silversides Guided Fishing Adventures and I would like to welcome all of you readers and anglers!

We love springtime in Vancouver because it means great fly fishing on local rivers for Bull trout up to 12 lbs and Steelhead too up to 25 lbs!

It's been a very good 2 weeks for many anglers that have joined us this month. Lots of nice Bull trout(plenty in the 2-3 lb range and a few hogs), great Steelhead action too as the April run of fish tends to be strong.   We are exclusively fly fishing for Bull trout an hour north of  Vancouver which means its easy for us to pick you up at your hotel and provide a gorgeous day on the river that amazes the senses. You can rely on our very friendly and professional service and experience in the field.

Steelhead are being caught on regular gear or flies. If you just want to catch a Steelhead and never have then know this: nearly 100% of our clients get that satisfaction on their 1st day out on the river when using regular west coast gear. Fly fishers should not expect the same but if you are a good chucker then it's a very real possibility. Our client on the left landed this 15 lb buck Steelhead 2 weeks ago. There should be some very good fishing if you are here in April.
