The White River has had a Shad Kill going on. With the shad coming through the dam a real good bite has been on. Best baits right now are Frozen Shad, CD7 or CD9 in gold or silver, Rouges blue or black back with orange belly. For the Fly Fisherman Streamers and White Jigs.  Call me if you have questions. Be sure of yourself or get a guide.  Now is some of the best times to catch world class fish. Don't go with an inexperienced person on the river. The number to call for generation report is 870-431-5311. Normal pool is 654.00. With generation levels being low all week it has proven to be great conditions for big browns. Using Big Phil's Guides is the best way to go. The White River has had excellent fishing conditions. The lake has been maintaining right around the winter pool level and the generator flow has varied throughout the days. Having a guide is key to catching those memories for a lifetime.  Bait fishing Sculpin, Nightcrawlers, or Shad has been producing some sizable Rainbows. Powerbait and Powerbait Trout worms in yellow, bubblegum,or orange has been doing well to catch numbers. If the generators come on, take advantage of the rise it creates a very good bite for the Rouges, Spoons, Roster Tails, and other artificial baits. Trophy Browns are being caught at night when the generators are shut down. Come see me for details on this method.
