The Trout fishing this past week has been good to fair for numbers and size of Trout in the Middle Prong of the Little Pigeon & West Prong of the Little Pigeon in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. On Cherokee Lake the water temps are ranging from 61 to 64, with some creeks or coves being almost 70 late in the afternoons. The water is fairly clear on most of the lake.
This past week we have caught some nice Bass on Topwaters, Carolina Rigs and Texas rigged lizards & brush hogs in the pockets and secondary points in the creeks and coves.

The Trout and Smallie Bite is ON!

Now is the time to get in on some good Bass and Crappie fishing.
We have been catching fish all over the Clinch River Arm of the Lake from the Andersonville area up to Point 30 above Brogan`s Ramp.

Get in on the Spring Bite now!
The bite is really beginning to pick up now all over the lake. The water temps on Douglas Lake are ranging from 61 to 64 over most of the lake with near 70 temps in the late afternoon. And the water is fairly clear to lightly stained over most of the lake.

It`s time!
The Crappie have really started to pick up now and the Sauger and Walleye bite has been pretty goos as well from the Dandridge area around Rimmer Creek up to Walters Bridge on 25E.
The Crappie we`ve caught have been in fairly shallow water most days, while the Sauger and Walleye have been from around 15 to 20ft. With the Swanns Marina area up to Point 18 producing some nice catches.

Little Pigeon River Fishing Report 02.25.10
We`ve been catching some decent Smallies and Trout as well. If the weather doesn`t mess up the streams. You can actually have a pretty good bite on some days.
A recent trip produced 16 Trout with a few nice ones in the mix. A good Smallie or two, but the majority were on the smaller size. But in a 2 or 3 weeks, look out those Big Smallies should be on the prowl and hungry.

Norris Lake Fishing Report 02.25.10
From the Mill Creek area up river to Straight Creek the Smallie bite has been getting better. The FnF has still been producing some nice fish as well as hair jigs and with the weather warming lately we found some nice Smallies and Largemouth up shallow on crankbaits as well. Be sure to look for shad in the pockets and any activity. The water temps have slowly began to rise and its time to get out and try to catch that Big Smallie you`ve been waiting on all winter.

Cherokee Lake Fishing Report 02.25.10
Water temps are ranging from 40 to 48 degrees, with the water on the lower end slighlty stained and gets more so the farther up the lake you go.
We have been catching some fish on crankbaits and jerkbaits shallow from Mid-Lake up, with jigs, silver buddies and drop shot rigs still producing most of the better fish in the 15 to 20ft range. We`ve caught some good Smallies and the fishing should break loose anytime now if this weather will settle down a little.
