The Block Island Cod bite is ON which is great news for anglers looking to catch Winter Cod. The month of January was slow fishing due to the unusually warm water temperatures. Based on last weekend’s results of the Seven B’s fishing trips, the conditions for great Cod fishing have finally come together. Plans are to sail Friday, Saturday and Sunday and potentially other days if there is customer interest and the weather permits. Reservations are required and can be made by call...

Great, great fishing on that trip with a number of catch limits for the day. The ½ day trips continue to produce fish averaging in the 4-6 lb range. These ½ day trips provide the customer the opportunity to experience Fluke fishing and still be able to schedule other activities for the day. The largest fi...

Block Island Sound Fishing Report 01.24.11

The long established Benn History aboard the Seven B's is alive and kicking. While Russ and Jeannie are in Florida Captains Andy DiAngelo (of the Mardidee II) and Rich Romano are manning the ship.   We've been sailing Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (weather permitting) and have been quite successful.   Last Saturday's trip (although only a dozen or so anglers) produced a fully limited bounty by 10:15 AM (This being great as we sail at 5AM, rather than the middl...
