Fishing Report 6/25/2011 Capt. Terry Frankford     Early morning starts beat the heat for summer fishing.   The Reelin & Chillin has caught Snook, redfish, triple tail, seatrout, mackerel and small sharks making for fantastic light tackle action. Anglers have enjoyed mostly seatrout and a few triple tail for dinner. Oversized redfish to 33 inches and some drag drawing snook have tightened lines for great catch and release action.   Robert and Terry Jack br...

Spending a few minutes in each location until we found the fish worked best.   Redfish and black drum were found around structure mostly docks and oysters near mangroves. No more than 20 minutes would be spe...

Big trout are around hanging in deeper holes near grass flats, and a few black drum up to 24 inches have been pulled from structure in the bay. Spanish mackerel are popping up near moving water and all over the middle grounds in Sarasota Bay.     On a morning trip with Frank Meszaro...

Gulf of Mexico Fishing Report 02.25.11

Fishing Report 2/24/2011 – Capt. Terry Frankford   Fishing is improving slowly but surely with the water warming up. In just the last couple weeks I have seen temperatures as low as 56 degrees and in the back waters as high as 76 degrees. You know it's getting better when you hook up with snook - three were caught aboard the Reelin & Chillin this week with one at 31 inches. Also, redfish in the slot are starting to show up - after a couple months of rat reds it was nice getting s...
