Description:

Reel Sharp Sport Fishing Charters has over 20 years experience fishing Islamorada, the sport fishing capital of the world. We also fish the Bahamas, Key West, Dry Tortugas, and the Gulf wrecks. Our 33ft. Hydrasports powered by triple 250 Yamahas is equipped with full electronics and radar, and we get you to the fish fast with cruising speeds of 45 mph.

The Reel Sharp is docked at world famous – Robbie’s Marina of Islamorada . The marina is located bayside in the heart of Islamorada and the fishing is just minutes from our dock with the reef only 3 miles away.

Captain Danny and Chris will take you to where the fish are. They will take you to catch Swordfish, Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, Sharks, Tarpon, Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, Permit, Kingfish, and more! We specialize in light tackle, live bait fishing, and having an awesome day on the water. The Reel Sharp provides a very knowledgeable and courteous captain and mate team that will combine their experience to put you on fish. Galon is a licensed captain and has great experience fishing offshore and inshore waters.

Islamorada’s fishing is like being in two different cities. You can catch a tuna offshore at 10 a.m. and be back inshore fighting a tarpon that afternoon. If you want to catch it, Islamorada offers over hundreds of different species to target.

The thin stretch of land which makes Islamorada unique is an awesome geological formation for anglers. Only three miles to Islamorada’s south stands the reef, home of snapper and grouper. From the reefs edge, the bottom quickly drops off to the continental shelf, where you can find marlin and some maybe the world’s best sword fishing. Warm tropical, blue Gulf Stream waters often flow near the reef, and bring species like dolphin and Wahoo that much closer to the island. There is also the famous Islamorada Hump, which is a seamount that rises up about 200ft from the oceans bottom in 500ft of water. When the Gulf Stream current is flowing over the hump this is area teems with life, from tunas, dolphin and marlin chasing bait on the surface to sharks, amberjacks and groupers feeding down deep.

On the northwest side of the islands kingfish and cobia cruise Gulf waters. To the northeast, Florida Bay’s network of keys, bridges and channels that hold tarpon, permit and snook.

Reel Sharp is blessed with a very experienced fishing team. Captain Danny Lombardo has been fishing the Keys for over 10 years and mate Chris Ware, also a licensed captain has over 20 years fishing the Keys and Gulf of Mexico. The Reel Sharp is successful in catching fish because of the efforts of our captain and crew. If our team is fishing a tournament or fishing with your family, it is important to have a team that works well together under pressure, when that trophy fish swims by the boat.

Captain Galon Johnson has been fishing the Florida Keysfor many years. If you want to fish all day or spend some time in the water snorkeling Danny can show you a great time, as he grew up on the reef.  Galon will customize your trip to whatever your fishing desires. Galon and our professional and courteous crew will provide an experience of a lifetime on the waters of the Florida Keys.
In addition to Galon's knowledge and passion for fishing the waters off Islamorada, He is also the radio voice for Sun 103.1 and Thunder County 100.3, fishing reports for the Islamorada area. Galon is one of the Islamorada’s finest captains, whether Galon is entertaining a family, or fishing a tournament, he will provide you with an experience of Keys fishing that will be long remembered.

Chris Ware is a very important part of our fishing team. Chris has had over 20 years experience fishing the Islamorada area and has spent many years fishing marlin tournaments along the Gulf Coast from Panama City to Destin Florida. In addition, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge on inshore fishing for Tarpon, Permit, Sharks and other species. Chris has won many inshore tournaments fishing the Gulf waters off of Fort Meyers. Chris is also a licensed captain and as your mate he is a huge compliment to Captain Danny .Chris is an avid outdoorsman and loves to hunt. Chris has an extreme passion for the outdoors and will work hard to find you a catch of a lifetime.
