Captain Bobby Mullis and his wife Carol have retired and moved to Delaware where they are pursuing saltwater fish in the DELMARVA area. Bobby still remains involved with Ken Penrod’s Life Outdoors Unlimited. He still works with us at our sports shows and assist’s with our major group events as on shore coordinator.Bob and Carol now have a Sweetwater Pontoon Boat and a Center Console Nitro Bay Boat.

Alan Mullis has been guiding for Ken Penrod's Life Outdoors Unlimited for the past fifteen years. Mullis guides on the lower Potomac mainly but also has been successful on Lake Anna and Kerr Lake in Virginia. Alan drives a Ranger boat with a Johnson motor.Alan resides with his wife Christy and son Gus in Poolesville Maryland. Mullis is operations manager for Montgomery Vault and is also a certified auctioneer in the state of Maryland.

Brent Nelson has been guiding for Ken Penrod's Life Outdoors Unlimited since1989. He specializes on the Tidal Potomac River and Deep Creek Lake in Garrett County MD. He also guides on the Upper Chesapeake Bay Complex and entertains fly fishing clients on the clear water streams of Western Maryland. Nelson drives a Ranger boat with a 225 Mercury EFI motor.Nelson is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain and retains both a Maryland tidal water guides license and Maryland freshwater guides license. He's trained in Advanced First Aid and CPR.

Dave Kerrigan resides in Centreville, VA. and has been guiding for Ken Penrod's Life Outdoors Unlimited since 1998 He is a United States Coast Guard licensed captain and is a member of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association. Dave has hunted and fished extensively in the Mid-Atlantic Region since 1972. His fishing expertise includes the Tidal Potomac River, Upper Potomac River, Susquehanna River, Several Northern Virginia Reservoirs, Chesapeake Bay, Coastal Inshore and Offshore Virginia and Maryland and Eastern Lake Ontario.

Bret Winegardner has been guiding for Ken Penrod's Life Outdoors Unlimited for 12 years and specializes on Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland.Winegardner retains a Maryland freshwater guides license and is trained in both First Aid and CPR. He drives a Ranger boat with a 225 Yamaha motor.Bret resides with his wife Heather and daughters Morgan and Makenzy near Swanton, Maryland, just minutes away from the shores of Deep Creek Lake. He owns and Operates Lakefront Enterprises, a heavy equipment and excavating company.

Brian Barnes joined Ken Penrod’s Life Outdoors Unlimited in 2007. He has a U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s license, Maryland Guide license, and is certified in CPR/First Aid. Brian specializes in the rivers of Maryland ’s Eastern Shore (i.e. Choptank, Nanticoke , Pocomoke, Wicomico) as well as the Potomac River and Upper Bay complex for largemouth bass during all seasons and crappie during cold weather months.

Keith Barker is a native Washingtonian, but grew up a farm boy in Northeast Ohio . He lives in Brookeville Maryland with his bride of 36 years and they have 3 adult children. Over 40 years ago, he caught his first bass on a Hula Popper on the Ohio Canal . He’s been hooked on bass fishing ever since and he is a closet cat man too. Ask him about his secret weapon for Potomac River cats.Capt’n. Keith has 18 years experience on the Tidal Potomac and Maryland ’s Eastern Shore rivers. He is a United States Coast Guard licensed Captain and a licensed Maryland Freshwater Guide. Capt’n Keith is also trained in first aid and C P R. H e specializes in the tidal Potomac and it tributaries and the Eastern Shore Rivers & knows many of the bass that reside in these waters on a first name basis.

Jon Drever joined Ken Penrod’s Life Outdoors Unlimited in 2004 as a smallmouth bass guide for the Susquehanna and Upper Potomac Rivers. He guides from a Fish Rite River Rage jet boat from Brook’s Marine which helps him navigate the skinny waters encountered on these rivers. He is trained in First Aid and CPR and retains both Maryland freshwater and Pennsylvania guides licenses.Jon grew up learning to fish with his dad in a small town in Connecticut on the Housatonic River where they pursued trout, bass, perch and catfish. After moving to Northern Virginia, he discovered the abundant opportunities for bass fishing on the Upper Potomac and Susquehanna Rivers. He now enjoys sharing his river smallmouth knowledge with his clients.Jon resides in Sterling, Virginia with his wife Kim and three daughters, Nicholle, Natalie, and Lauren. Fortunately, his family shares in his enthusiasm for fishing and enjoys spending time on the water with him.

Mike Breeding is a recent addition to the Ken Penrod’s Life Outdoors Unlimited family. He brings to our family outstanding technical abilities as well a love and a passion for fishing and the outdoors. Mike is trained in First Aid and CPR and holds both MD and PA freshwater guide licenses.Mike’s passion for fishing was sparked as a boy when his Grandfather would take him fishing in the upper and middle Chesapeake Bay. In the past 20 years Mike has spent every waking moment fishing the reservoirs and fresh water rivers of Baltimore County. For the last 10 years Mike has focused in the pursuit of smallmouth bass in the waters of the Susquehanna River between Montgomery Ferry, PA. and the Conowingo Dam, MD.

Dan Grulke was born in and resides in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife and son Hunter. Dan is a licensed guide in Maryland and Pennsylvania and guides from a custom rigged Xpress Jet Boat which helps him navigate the skinny waters encountered on these rivers.He is trained in First Aid and CPR, has been fishing the Shenandoah River, Upper Potomac River, and the local Reservoirs since 1984 and has experience fishing the Susquehanna River for the past 5 years.Dan specializes in spinning, bait casting, and bait fishing techniques, educating beginning anglers, and guiding father/son outings.

Chis Sanno is a Susquehanna River disciple, well skilled in the pursuit of those smallmouth bass, walleye and musky that we pursue. Chris has a strong reputation in tournament fishing and has always wanted to broaden his career. “Guiding and teaching guests how to find and catch fish has always been my dream.”Chris is pursuing a career in the Plumbers and Pipefitters trades, and has extensive experience in customer service with the likes of Bass Pro Shops and Lowes Home Improvement.
