Chatham Sound...
is the body of water just outside of the Prince Rupert harbour. Its many rocky islands, erratic bottom structure, and the areas huge tides (sometimes as much as a twenty four foot difference between the high and the low) create great back eddies where huge schools of bait fish congregate, making for prime feeding grounds for the many species of game fish of the North Pacific. All five species of Pacific salmon migrate through Chatham Sound in huge numbers, stopping to feed and bulk up for their incredible journeys back to the very rivers that their life began. Chinook, Coho, Chum, Pink, and Sockeye all migrate through Chatham Sound each summer. Chatham Sound also boasts great numbers of Pacific Halibut, and the bottom structure and nutrient rich waters make for ideal conditions to target these popular game fish. The superb bottom structure also supports great habitat for many other bottom game fish such as Ling Cod, and many species of Rock Fish. Prince Rupert truly is a fisherman’s paradise, and has a great reputation as a major sport fishing destination.

to the City of Prince Rupert. Prince Rupert is a friendly, small town with all the amenities of a large city. Surrounded by lush, green forests, rocky mountains, and blue Pacific Ocean, Prince Rupert is situated on Kaien Island just thirty miles south of the Alaska border. Kaien Island is a small, mountainous island that is a stones throw from mainland B.C., and is connected by a small bridge at the end of Yellowhead Highway16.

My name is Capt. Matt Anderson
and I am the main Captain/Guide for Adrenaline Sportfishing. I grew up in the friendly town of Prince Rupert, and have lived here most of my life. I have been a professional fishing guide for the past eleven years, fishing a minimum of one hundred days each season, guiding for B.C.’s most prestigious, high end fishing resorts. Working at these high end resorts has helped me develop a high level of service, and I take great pride in my level of professionalism. I have guided as far south as Bella Bella on B.C.’s central coast, all the way north to the Alaska border, and as far west as Langara Island on the northern tip of the Queen Charlotte Islands. Five of these years were spent fishing the waters of Chatham Sound, just north of Prince Rupert at a very exclusive fishing resort. I have gained and shared an incredible amount of fishing knowledge, and met some amazing people over the years I have spent guiding. I like meeting new people, and sharing my vast fishing knowledge, as well as the natural beauty of the area that surrounds Prince Rupert. I look forward to meeting you, and exposing you to what this truly remarkable area has to offer. I have extensive marine and tourism based training, certification, and education:
